I’m grateful to each and every person who not only chooses us…but then tells others about their positive experience. You can be assured that we will continue to do everything we can to make you happy you joined us.

This is the time of year that I officially become semi-retired. If I had my way…and didn’t have thousands of clients depending on me…I’d archery hunt every day of the season. The feeling of sitting 25 feet up in a treestand…feeling almost invisible in the forest is an awesome feeling. Yeah, harvesting game is nice too…but my enjoyment comes from the quiet time, alone or with one of my daughters(not quite so quiet time) and watching nature take it’s course. Sometimes I wonder if I could go and just take a camera…sorry bambi lovers…not quite ready for that yet. So…I’m off to scout, climb trees and otherwise become a nuisance to the whitetail deer population. Please leave a message when you call and try to be remember that any of the gals in my office can probably help you out of your emergency just as well as I can….trust me!

Since Google watches my site pretty regular…now I have to add some keyword phrases that makes them think I’m talking insurance jibberish. Then they move my site up through the ranks and when one of the internet shoppers types something in google about things like pennsylvania car insurance quotes, pa auto insurance, pennsylvania senior auto insurance discounts, pennsylvania free auto insurance quotes and erie insurance agents they get my site right up there near the top. Hey, competition for this geeky stuff is gettin fierce so if I want my hunt time….I gotta squeeze this stuff in there.

Thanks again for letting us serve you, it’s a pleasure.

P.S. If you have one of these guys eating your shrubs, garden, etc. and you need him removed…call me! As always, I try to help when I can.

I’ll admit that I’ve been a diehard Steelers fan since the 70′s…through good and bad I’ve been a loyal follower. There, that should have alienated 50% of you! Bills fans, you still have my pity for those super bowl outings.

Well….here’s my dilemna…

And I’m wondering if you could help me decide on a strategy?

All I’ll need you to do is go into work and demand that the boss give you half of all the profit that his/her business made this past year. If you wouldn’t mind trying that out and getting back to me with the results I’d be most grateful. This NFL deal has got me thinking that even if we’ve already agreed to accept our pay at a certain rate…and do our job….if we see the company making some extra money…well…we should get to have it ! Who cares that the boss put his/her life savings on the line to buy or build the business….that’s our money…..kinda.

So here’s my plan…

Most years I see the insurance companies making profits, and of that profit they put a portion of it into a fund they call “policyholder surplus.” We’ll call it an emergency fund to be used in the rare case of financial catastrophe. A pretty good idea actually, and customers can feel safe in knowing their insurance company is well prepared for extreme emergencies. But here’s the way I’m thinking this could go… if I can negotiate a deal similar to our football heros, I should be entitled to half of that cash…irregardless of who’s money it might be. Now doesn’t that sound absolutely ridiculous?

Cheers

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is a great agency that wants to see you properly insured and living comfortably and easily. In fact they have made it illegal to be without proper insurance coverage when driving in their state.

Get a free quote. It’s quick, easy (requiring, to begin with, just a simple input of basic driver and vehicle information), and very valuable.

Auto insurance is mandatory in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, so drivers absolutely must purchase and maintain it before they can legally drive in the state. A lapse in that insurance coverage may necessitate a suspension of your vehicle registration privileges for three months.

Also, your car’s license plate, registration sticker and driver’s license must be surrendered to PennDOT in order to serve the suspension. Restoration fees and proof of insurance must be submitted prior to having either registration or driving privileges restored to you.

The following penalties are possible: A minimum of $300 fine for driving uninsured, a three-month suspension of the vehicle’s registration, a three-month suspension of your driver’s license, a payment of restoration fees to cover both the vehicle and the license, and/or a period of vehicle impoundment. In addition, the vehicle can’t be driven at all, by anyone, while the registration is suspended.

It’s a headache, but that’s what will happen.

In its most basic definition, auto insurance is a contract between you and your insurance company that protects you against financial loss if an accident happens. These policies have many kinds of coverage that you can select from based on your wants and needs. You agree to pay the premium, and (in return) the company agrees to pay for certain expenses as defined in your policy.

When you are ready to purchase insurance, the insurance company or producer (agent) will ask you a series of questions and, based on your answers, will decide whether or not they will accept you as a policyholder. This practice is known as underwriting. By law, insurance companies may not unfairly discriminate by using underwriting standards based on things such as race, religion, nationality or ethnic group, age, sex, family size, occupation, place of residence or marital status. Based on your answers and your circumstance, the appropriate rate to charge you for your premium will be determined.

The first step is just to answer some questions: the insurance company (or an agent thereof) will ask you some questions and decide whether to accept you as a policyholder. This is known as underwriting. Insurance companies legally can’t discriminate against you by paying attention to qualities like race, religion, nationality, age, sex, ethnic origin, occupation, place of residence or marital status.

Insurers will take certain issues into consideration when deciding your premium… where is the vehicle usually stored overnight? What type of vehicle is it, and how old is it? Does it have safety features? How many miles, on average, would it be driven in a year? What are each of the drivers’ histories?

Certain benefits that are covered by almost all Pennsylvania auto insurers include medical benefits, bodily injury liability, property damage liability, and some companies even offer a single combination of bodily injury liability and property damage liability.

Pennsylvania ’s Assigned Risk Plan is a program that offers automobile insurance to those who are unable to obtain coverage. All insurance companies writing automobile insurance in the commonwealth are required to participate in the plan. Applicants are assigned to insurance companies in proportion to the amount of business each company writes in the commonwealth. You may contact the plan’s customer service office at (401) 946-2800 or, toll-free, at (800) 477-6146.

The Pennsylvania Insurance Department has a long history of helping citizens through the sometimes arcane process of getting insurance coverage. You absolutely need auto insurance, though, so give it a chance and ask for a free quote. You won’t be disappointed. We hope you’ll allow us to be the agent that does your comparison shopping for you, so you can sit back, relax and know that everything is being handled properly.

All of them certified and legitimized by the Pennsylvania Insurance Department, established in 1873 and reorganized a half-century later. The department can offer you absolute security in deciding on a policy for cheap Pennsylvania car insurance.

Every vehicle registered in Pennsylvania absolutely MUST have the required minimum amounts of liability insurance coverage. These are administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, which can hand out fines and vehicle registration suspension to drivers who don’t comply.

There is always so much to know, to steer clear of any problems and stay on the right track.

Pennsylvania is ranked, out of all 50 states, #26 in terms of the overall cost of car insurance. Middle of the road, you might say… but not exactly. Pennsylvania’s rates average right below the national average: $1,420.78 in 2010, compared to $1,774.41 in California and $2,098.29 in Michigan, according to a report by Quadrant Information Services. Just to compare them like this, Pennsylvania is actually relatively low.

Pennsylvania has one of the lower state requirements for car insurance however you should always consider increasing your coverage. Remember that simply having car insurance is not full protection in the event of an accident. It’s simply protection based upon the terms of your coverage up to your policy limits.

Car insurance is a legal agreement, in the most basic definition, between you and an car insurance company to protect you against financial loss in the regrettable event that an accident occurs. And when it comes to cars, those just might happen.

You agree to pay the premium, and (in return) the company agrees to pay for certain expenses that the policy defines. In Pennsylvania, “liability coverage” and “first party coverage” are both mandatory types of coverage. Types of car insurance that are not mandatory are under-insured motorist coverage (UIM), uninsured motorist coverage (UM), collision coverage, and comprehensive coverage.

Currently, Pennsylvania requirements are that any vehicle should have at least $15,000 in coverage for injury to another person in an accident, $30,000 in coverage for injury to more than one person in an accident, and $5,000 of coverage for property damage

When you are ready to get some insurance for yourself, and start driving legally, the insurance company may ask you some questions and decide whether or not to accept you as a policyholder with them. The practice is known as underwriting. Insurance companies legally cannot discriminate by using things like race, age, religion, ethnic group or nationality, sex, occupation, place of residence family size, or marital status. They will then decide the appropriate rate to charge you.

Insurers will take some issues into consideration when clarifying and completing your premium… where is the vehicle usually stored overnight? What type of vehicle is it, and how old is it? Does it have safety features? How many miles, on average, would it be driven in a year? What are each of the drivers’ histories?

Certain benefits that are covered by almost all Pennsylvania auto insurers include medical benefits, bodily injury liability, and/or property damage liability. Some companies even offer a single, easy combination of bodily injury liability and property damage liability.

In certain cases, you might be able to adjust one of these non-mandatory coverages to lower your premiums, but it does not mean you should go entirely without them.

The first step is just to answer some questions: an agent from the insurance company will ask you a few questions and then decide if they will accept you as a policyholder. This is called underwriting. Insurance companies can’t discriminate against you by judging you based on things like race, nationality or ethnicity, age, religion, sex, family size, occupation, residence, or marital status.

Insurers will take certain issues into consideration when deciding your premium… what is the year, model, and type of the vehicle? Does it have safety features and enough of them? Where is the vehicle kept in storage overnight? How many miles is it driven, on average, in a year? What are the histories of each of the drivers?

Emphasis is mostly placed on the type of car, your driving record, and the credit score you have… although where the vehicle is registered is another significant factor.

See? Pennsylvania car insurance is so easy!
