If we’re talking about helping my fifth grader solve a math problem fifteen minutes ago…then..”no” 

I think math must have been different when I was in school.

The math we do every day is as simple as finding savings for clients on their pennsylvania auto insurance.  Either a bunch of companies have taken rate increases in the past year or our rates have gone down drastically.  Seems that 2 out of 3 callers are saving pretty substantial amounts on car insurance by checking with us. Either way, low price is only good if you’re getting a similar product for less money. You’ll need to be the judge on if you can trust the agent who’s offering to help you.

I just did an interview for an article the other day and I made the comment about dealing with an agent who only represents one insurance company. For a second after the statement…I regretted saying it…but in hindsight I think I may have nailed it. Would you go to a doctor who only prescribed one medication ?  heck no!   I’m not saying that having one company to sell for is bad..it’s just not as good as having many companies who are all highly respected in the industry. Either way you slice it, the “many company” route will get you a better feel for what is out there to choose from.  If you decide to shop for insurance..my opinion is that you’d be better served by looking at a few different companies.

Well, back to my math lesson.
